What Is A Brokk Demolition Robot?

Unmatched Advantages

A Brokk demolition robot is a remote-controlled, tethered or battery-powered machine engineered to break, crush and cut in environments where human access is dangerous, regulated, or outright impossible — nuclear cells, red-hot kilns, confined tunnels, unstable structures. One operator. One machine. Three times the productivity of manual demolition, with the worker safely out of the strike zone.

Brokk launches 4 new machines! Brokk 170, Brokk200, Brokk300 and Brokk 520D

Cuatro Torres Complex

At Madrid's Cuatro Torres complex, Perfox carried out demolition work as part of the new Caleido Tower project — in the middle of the city's financial district. Six Brokk machines, including two Brokk 500s and two Brokk 180s, played a key role on site.

LKAB Malmberget

At LKAB's Malmberget iron ore mine — 1,250 metres below ground — oversized boulders needed breaking down before reaching the crushers.

Descaling

During planned shutdowns at LafargeHolcim's Cauldon plant, crews had to clear heavy buildup inside the preheater tower fast. The Brokk Descaler let operators do it from a safe distance while reaching every section of the tower — keeping the schedule on track.

Pile Driving

In the basement of Gothenburg's historic Draken building, Grundia AB had to drive new foundation piles through passages narrower than 800 mm. A Brokk 200 with a hydraulic breaker brought the necessary power in a compact, emission-free package, working efficiently across multiple cramped levels.

Fossil-Free Mine

Grecian Magnesite set out to build a fossil-free operation at the Koutzi underground mine — without explosives. A Brokk 500 with the BHB705 breaker enabled selective rock removal and remote control, paving the way for all-electric mining with lower emissions.

Descaling

Inside a Republic Cement preheater tower in Southeast Asia, G. Leonard Ltd faced confined spaces, complex structures and extreme heat. The Brokk Descaler removed heavy buildup remotely across multiple sections, accelerating the job while keeping operators out of harm's way.

Tunnel Widening

Diamond Drilling SRL had just one month to remove huge volumes of concrete and granite from a Bulgarian tunnel — in winter, with limited space. A Brokk 200 and a Brokk 520D delivered the demolition safely and on schedule.

Vacuum Excavation

Suction Excavation UK turned to a Brokk 120D and the Brokk Vacuum Excavation System for projects where traditional methods were too slow or too risky. The combination brought precision and improved on-site safety in tight, hazardous locations.

Conveyor Belt Cleaning

In Chile's copper mines, contractors needed to clear material buildup beneath active conveyor belts without halting operations. A Brokk 110 with the Vacuum Excavation System handled the job while the belts kept running — eliminating manual digging and unplanned downtime.

Ågesta Nuclear Plant

At Sweden's decommissioned Ågesta nuclear plant, Vattenfall used a Brokk 300 fitted with the BGS65 to dismantle radiation-exposed concrete. The robot worked with high precision while keeping operators safely away from the contaminated environment.
